Hay wagons, straw bales and pumpkins help remind residents that harvest season is here. For many, this is a favorite time of the year. Colorful blooming mums and gourds help us reminisce, bringing back memories of sunny, cool days. Grab your sweatshirt or sweater, autumn is in the air at Pinebrook for all to share.
Our residents greatly appreciated staff member Kathy Bird as she taught them to create their own unique pumpkin creations. Fall is certainly in the air here at Pinebrook! We have many more fall fun creations planned. Check your calendars and sign up soon!

If the weather cooperates, Pinebrook resident Terry Pilis will enjoy a bumper crop of tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers this year. Gardening is made easier in our three-and-a-half foot tall raised garden bed. Along with vegetables, Terry enjoys growing flowers and herbs. When Terry is unable to water the plants, other residents gladly volunteer for the task. […]
We all love the Joyful Noise Boys! As their name suggests they bring smiles to our faces and joy to our hearts as they successfully encourage everyone to sing along!
Our second annual Senior Prom began with one of Chef Don’s all time favorite meals of our residents, Baby Back Ribs, along with a nice selection of side dishes and deserts. Pinebrook was thrilled to have Mariemont Jr. High Orchestra perform here. Residents were amazed at the skills these musicians had built in their short years of study. It was a full house with standing room only. The selections chosen, both old and new were simply priceless! We will welcome them back anytime!
Chair volleyball is held three afternoons a week at Pinebrook. Our players are committed, nothing gets in the way of volleyball! They even have a fan club and cheering section. What a fun way to raise our endorphins and nurture friendships!
Seventeen residents signed up for the Red Lobster lunch outing! Everyone loved their lunch selections and reasonable prices. They were excited to have left overs to bring home as well! This location will now be on our “favorites list.”
At Pinebrook, we love to go out for lunch! Fuji Steak House in Eastgate is one of our favorite locations. The service is outstanding and there is something for everyone’s palate.
Our annual luncheon trip to LaComedia, with the newer version of “A Christmas Carol” was loved by all. We each agreed it was the best we had ever seen! AND as usual the food was superb!
Our decorating fairies have completed their magic!
We all love our every other Friday Art Party with Jeannie. She can teach anyone to paint, and I do mean anyone. If you don’t believe me I dare you to try it. I promise you will impress yourself! Another benefit is the fun bunch of new friends we make here. Get ready to laugh!
We were thrilled to have Max back at Pinebrook once again! There were several residents who missed his outstanding presentation the last time and those who heard him before were begging for more! He started with a brief history of the bowls and their ancient background and then invited us to do a body scan to see […]
